1. Does the barrel come ready to use?
Answer: No. All our barrels are new and must be seasoned before first use. We include a manual with step-by-step instructions for proper seasoning to ensure a natural seal of the wood.
2. How do I season the barrel?
Answer: Seasoning involves filling the barrel with clean water for the time indicated in the manual. This process allows the wood to hydrate, expand, and seal any small natural leaks before using it with any beverage.
3. Is the barrel already sealed?
Answer: No. The customer performs the seasoning following the included manual. It is a simple and necessary procedure for the barrel to function correctly.
4. Can you engrave my logo or design?
Answer: Yes. We offer free custom laser engraving on most of our barrels.
5. How do I send you my logo?
Answer: During the purchase process, you can attach the design or send it by email to [email protected]. We will review the file and confirm that everything is ready for engraving.
6. What format should my logo be in?
Answer: Ideally, send it in PNG, PDF, AI, or SVG format and with the highest possible quality. If you only have an image, we will also review it to verify if it is suitable for engraving.
7. Is it suitable for tequila?
Answer: Yes. It is ideal for aging tequila.
8. Is it suitable for mezcal?
Answer: Yes. It is excellent for resting and aging mezcal.
9. Is it suitable for whiskey, rum, or wine?
Answer: Yes. It can be used for whiskey, rum, wine, bourbon, spirits, and other beverages compatible with oak barrels.
10. Does it include an airlock for fermentation?
Answer: No. We do not currently carry airlock valves or fermentation adapters.
11. Do you sell keg keys separately?
Answer: Yes. We have replacement keys for our kegs.
12. How do I install the key?
Answer: The key is press-fit. Simply place it carefully and tap it gently with a rubber mallet or a regular hammer, using a wooden mallet to avoid damaging it.
13. Do you sell metal hoops or straps?
Answer: We do not currently sell hoops or straps separately.
14. How long will shipping take?
Answer: We ship 2 days after purchase and 3 days for custom orders, depending on the time of day when the purchase is typically confirmed.
15. How long does it take if I order several custom barrels?
Answer: It depends on the quantity and complexity of the engraving. For orders of multiple barrels, we will confirm the estimated time before production.
